Kracow I

Kate and I had an extremely enjoyable 4-night trip to Kracow this week, and on 3 of the days I got up to enjoy the early light.

What a beautiful city, full of charming, stylish and distinctive people (plus, it must be said, a lot of dull tourists, but at least that means that nobody notices a man with a camera!). The contrasts between Old Poland, especially its catholic heritage, and its modern dynamism, are strong.

The old city centre is gloriously traffic-free, but the main risk for getting run over was these things!
